As bikers around the country fight for freedom of choice in the 22 states that still mandate helmets for adult riders, they continually come up against the medical and insurance communities who claim

"Un-helmeted bikers pose a threat to the entire community!"

They say we will be a public burden.

 TRUTH!

Medical "professionals" kill 300 times more people annually than do motorcycle accidents.

2,057 bikers died on the road in 1997

643,800 people died from bad medical care in 1997

"The medical malpractice environment affects the cost of health care
in that the premiums doctors pay for the coverage are passed onto
health care consumers like other expenses. As the number of
lawsuits brought against medical professionals rises so do premiums.
Perhaps more importantly, in highly litigious parts of the country,
medical professionals tend to practice defensive medicine, ordering
extra tests and taking other extra-precautionary measures to protect
against charges of medical malpractice. This too pushes up the cost
of care." - Insurance Information Institute
